20 June 2024, CANBERRA – In celebration of the 126th anniversary of the declaration of Philippine Independence this June, the Philippine Embassy is pleased to invite the Filipino Community and all music enthusiasts to view the live streaming of the Manila Symphony Junior Orchestra’s (MSJO) Send-Off Concert on 27 June 2024, 8:00pm-9:00pm AEST (6:00pm-7:00pm Manila time). The MSJO will be travelling to perform across Europe from 30 June until 10 July 2024.

Established in 2014, the Manila Symphony Junior Orchestra is the youth orchestra program of the Manila Symphony Orchestra (MSO). It is composed of the most advanced students of the MSO Music Academy and other qualified students ages 8 to 18 years old under the baton of Prof. Jeffrey Solares. They regularly rehearse a varied repertoire with special focus on Classical and Baroque masterworks together with especially arranged modern and Filipino compositions. -END-
